Skopje, 11 May 2023 (MIA) - Construction works for an investment project of the Canadian company Magna Mechatronics will be launched in the Technological Industrial Development Zone (TIDZ) Shtip on Thursday. 

Prime Minister Dimitar Kovachevski, Magna International Vice President David Crespy and Director of the Directorate for Technological Industrial Development Zones, Jovan Despotovski, are set to address the event. 

The investment is worth EUR 40 million and, according to announcements, 600 people will be initially employed.

The facility will produce automotive electromechanical components.

The Canadian company Magna International has already opened a facility in Struga to produce exterior mirror systems for several European automakers.
