Berlin, 29 May 2023 (dpa/MIA) - Record winners Canada beat Germany 5-2 to clinch a 28th ice hockey men's world championship in Tampere, Finland on Sunday.
Sammy Blais scored twice for the Canadians, who had been 2-1 down.
Co-hosts Latvia earlier took a surprise bronze by beating the United States 4-3 in overtime for their first ever men's world championship medal.
The US squad, which included three 2022 Olympians but no NHL All-Stars, had lost to Germany in the last four.
