Skopje, 27 September 2021 (MIA) – Deputy PM for Economic Affairs Fatmir Bytyqi held a meeting on Monday with Swiss Ambassador to North Macedonia Sybille Suter Tejada. He thanked the Ambassador for her efforts regarding implementation of reforms, adding that since 1992 Switzerland has been one of the greatest supporters of North Macedonia’s political, social and economic development and its EU integration. The Deputy PM underlined that several projects aimed at improving living conditions and standards have recently been implemented with Swiss assistances provided via the Embassy and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation. Moreover, interlocutors agreed during the meeting that bilateral economic cooperation has registered continuous growth expressed through strengthened ties between companies and governments, and stressed that partnership will continue to improve. Recently, Switzerland strongly supported projects aimed at balanced regional development, improving competitiveness and increasing job opportunities. The country will continue to offer support in line with the recently-unveiled Cooperation Programme 2021-2024 with North Macedonia. Bytyqi congratulated Tejada on her successful term as Ambassador and wished her success in her future endeavors.
