Bytyqi: Foreign companies, Government have stable partnership for work and development

Skopje, 24 March 2023 (MIA) - Key initiatives and proposals related to energy and infrastructure issues in the area of facilitating procedures for the installation of photovoltaics in large manufacturing companies, were discussed on Friday at a regular quarterly working meeting of the Deputy PM for Economic Affairs Fatmir Bytyqi and the Government's economic team with the Association of Foreign Companies with Technologically Advanced Production.

 

Participants in the meeting discussed various proposals and solutions that would affect improvement of conditions for doing business in the country, and topics included customs, taxes, state support, labor market and investors, the Government said in a press release. 

 

Some of the Association's requests included aligning customs rates at the EU level, additional tariff labels for raw materials and repromaterials, continuing the application of the law on subsidizing contributions from mandatory social security due to pay rises, translation of international standards for financial reporting and a number of other topics that would improve conditions for doing business in the country. 



"I always listen carefully to the comments of investors and I am open to comments on how to improve the conditions for the companies' operations. Our efforts are in the direction of supporting the economy from renewable energy sources, which is very significant to us as a Government," said Deputy PM Bytyqi. 

 

Representatives from the Association of Foreign Companies expressed satisfaction with the cooperation with state institutions, which is in the interest of the economy and the citizens.
