Skopje, 3 July 2022 (MIA) – The United States welcomes the discussion in North Macedonia over the revised proposal for the start of the EU accession negotiations, says Ambassador Kate Marie Byrnes. “The U.S. welcomes the discussion in North Macedonia of the EU’s revised proposal to start accession talks, recognizing the importance of Macedonian language and identity. We have long supported North Macedonia’s EU future and now see a path to move it forward,” says Ambassador Byrnes in a post on the U.S. Embassy Facebook account.
