Bulgarian President to convene security council to discuss Skopje’s EU integration prospect
Sofia, 7 January 2022 (MIA) – Bulgarian President Rumen Radev will convene the National Security Council on Monday (January 10). Participants will discuss Western Balkans’s EU integration, the role of Bulgaria in the EU enlargement process and the prospect of North Macedonia and Albania to join the bloc, MIA’s Sofia correspondent reports. Earlier, Prime Minister Kiril Petkov in Parliament said that Bulgaria’s position involving the negotiating process for North Macedonia hasn’t been changed and will be upgraded with the formation of five working groups on infrastructure, economy, history and culture.
