Bulgarian PM’s advisor has visited Skopje: reports
Sofia, 4 January 2022 (MIA) – A foreign policy advisor to Bulgarian PM Kiril Petkov visited North Macedonia’s capital Skopje on 2 January, Bulgaria’s public service BNT reports citing government sources. Vesela Cherneva visited Skopje after being sent by Petkov to make preparations for the upcoming meeting between Petkov and North Macedonia’s new Prime Minister, Dimitar Kovachevski, due in January, MIA’s Sofia correspondent reports. Petkov has stated he would meet with Zoran Zaev’s successor once a new government was sworn in Skopje. In the meantime, organizations of Bulgarians in North Macedonia sent a letter to all Bulgarian institutions before the Consultative Council on National Security, headed by the Bulgarian President, is convened on 10 January to discuss the frameworks of the relations with Skopje.
