Skopje, 27 September 2024 (MIA) - The European agreement with the Republic of North Macedonia is clear. Bulgaria does not need mediators in the process, Bulgarian caretaker Foreign Minister Ivan Kondov has told BGNES.
FM Kondov was refering to Friday's statement by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, who is paying an official visit to North Macedonia, that his country is prepared to make use of its presidency with the Council of the European Union and mediate in the dispute with Bulgaria.
“Whether the sides are ready to accept Hungary as a mediator, it’s their business, but we are ready, and we want to work towards a solution that would work for both Macedonia and Bulgaria. But that’s the business of the disputing parties, we are here to help them,” said PM Orban.
