Sofia, 20 October 2022 (MIA) – Operators of the Macedonian and Bulgarian gas pipeline, GA-MA and Bulgartransgaz respectively, intend to conclude an interconnection agreement, MIA reports from Sofia. Bulgartransgaz said on its website that the point of interconnection will be Kyustendil/Zhidilovo. The two public operators call on grid beneficiaries to declare themselves on the rules for distribution of gas quantities and provisions related to grid beneficiaries. Consultations are set to continue up to October 27, aimed to gather the remarks by all potential beneficiaries regarding the transmission of natural gas through interconnection point Kyustendil/Zhidilovo. GA-MA and Bulgartransgaz intend to offer transmission services to grid beneficiaries for supply of natural gas from Bulgaria to North Macedonia and commercial transmission from North Macedonia to Bulgaria.
