Bulgaria's Chief Public Prosecutor Geshev visit Skopje, meets with Macedonian counterpart Joveski, Justice Minister Marichikj
Skopje, 27 October 2021 (MIA) - North Macedonia's Chief Public Prosecutor Ljubomir Joveski met on Wednesday with Bulgarian counterpart Ivan Geshev and discussed ways to enhance cooperation, especially in fight against organized and cross-border crime.
Prosecutor Sijka Mileva is also a part of the delegation paying a visit to North Macedonia at Joveski’s invitation.
“During the meeting, Joveski and Geshev talked about possible changes to the memorandum of cooperation signed between their institutions in 2015, as well as future cooperation. Moreover, they also discussed the two countries’ legal norms in handling cases of serious and organized crime,” the Public Prosecutor’s Office said in a press release.
During the two-day visit to North Macedonia, the Bulgarian delegation also met with Minister of Justice Bojan Marichikj and head public prosecutor in charge of organized crime and corruption Vilma Ruskoska.
