Tetovo, 18 June 2023 (MIA) — The Brvenica Folk Ensemble celebrated its 20th anniversary Saturday at the Folklore Parade: Brvenica Dances and Sings 2023 festival held in Brvenica near Tetovo, according to MIA's Tetovo correspondent.

Due to the rainy weather, the event was held indoors in the Brvenica Kosta Racin sports hall, where both local and international dancers performed folk songs and dances.

In addition to Brvenica Folk Ensemble members, participants included the Serbian Brvenica Folk Ensemble from Rashka; Tearce's Kiril Pejchinovikj Folk Ensemble, Gostivar's Brakja Ginoski Folk Ensemble, Tetovo's Association of Serbs and Macedonians Branko Chajka Folk Ensemble; Kichevo's Mladost Folk Ensemble; and Makedonski Brod's September 7th Folk Ensemble.

The folk song and dance festival included a parade of the participants through the village of Brvenica. mr/
