Borrell set to travel to Austria for discussions on EU-Western Balkans relations

Vienna, 19 June 2024 (MIA) - EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell, will be in Austria on Thursday and Friday, where he will participate in several events, meetings and discussions on EU relations with the Western Balkans.
During the meetings with representatives of Austria and the Western Balkans, he will discuss the cooperation between the European Union and the region in foreign and security policy, as well as EU enlargement.
On Thursday in Vienna, Borrell will meet with Austrian authorities, including President Alexander van der Bellen.
According to the European Union External Action Service (EEAS), on Friday he will move to Wachau for the annual Europa Forum, where he will receive the Dr. Alois Mock Europe Prize.
During the Forum, the High Representative will attend working sessions and discussions with Austrian Foreign Minister Alexander Schallenberg, Western Balkans Foreign Ministers and representatives of think tanks and civil society organisations.
Borrell will also hold a series of bilateral meetings with representatives from the Western Balkans.
