Bogorodica border crossing safe from fire, activities uninterrupted
Gevgelija, 3 August 2021 (MIA) – The fire that broke out on Tuesday afternoon near the Bogorodica border crossing with Greece doesn’t endanger border activities, which are taking place uninterrupted, border officials said.
Traffic is always lower at the border in the afternoon, when drivers don’t have to wait for more than 15 minutes.
Authorities said that due to the wind, the fire is moving towards the Greek border, adding that the Polykastro fire station has been notified of the situation.
Unless the wind changes direction, the Army’s border post, the Flamingo Casino, the Bogorodica border crossing and the Makpetrol and Shimov gas stations won’t be in any danger.
