Bogoev – Ivanovska: Combating corruption to ensure greater inflows of public revenues and better services to citizens

Skopje, 6 July 2023 (MIA) – The fight against corruption will ensure greater inflows of public revenues and improvement of public services to citizens, said the director of the Customs Administration, Stefan Bogoev, at the meeting with the president of the State Commission for the Prevention of Corruption, Biljana Ivanovska on Thursday.

The Customs Administration informs that important measures that are being implemented now are the survey records and declarations of interests in accordance with the provisions of the law on prevention of corruption and conflict of interests. The digitization of customs operations additionally enables greater control of the processes.

“Reducing corruption will restore confidence in the institutions, and this will contribute to reducing the grey economy and will provide benefits at all levels, both for the citizens and for a better positioning of our country in the EU integration process,” Bogoev said.
