Bodies of bus accident victims to be flown to Skopje by end of week
Skopje, 29 November 2021 (MIA) – The bodies of the Macedonian nationals who died in the tragic bus accident in Bulgaria will be handed over to their families on Thursday or Friday at the latest, Minister of Foreign Affairs Bujar Osmani said on Monday. “Following a talk with Bulgarian prosecutor Borislav Sarafov, who is in charge of the investigation into the Nov. 23 tragic bus accident, I’d like to inform the public that that a decision has been made for the bodies of the victims to be handed over to us on Thursday, Dec. 2. The Bulgarian government has accepted our request for the remains to be flown to Skopje on a Bulgarian plane. From the Skopje International Airport, the victims’ remains will be taken to their families’ homes on the same or the next day, Dec. 3,” Osmani wrote in a Facebook post. The FM stressed that he will keep in touch with the families over the remaining details, of which the public will also be timely informed.
