Skopje, 13 August 2022 (MIA) - The government, through the Ministry of Transport and Communications, as the largest investor in the country and supporter of the municipalities, works actively in the implementation of the transport strategy, including the construction and modernization of the road infrastructure in the country, said the Minister of Transport and Communications Blagoj Bochvarski, who along with the Public Enterprise for Maintenance of Regional and Main Roads Director Kostadin Acevski oversaw the rehabilitation of the Shtip transit on Saturday. The transit through Shtip is being rehabilitated with funds provided by the Public Enterprise for Maintenance of Regional and Main Roads, in cooperation with the Ministry of Transport and Communications, in the amount of 20 million denars. “I am glad that we have started the rehabilitation of this road. As we promised to the citizens, today we started by scraping the damaged asphalt and laying a completely new layer of asphalt, an investment of over 20 million denars through the central government, which ensures safer travel for our citizens. In the past period, we reconstructed transits through other cities in the country, Vinica, Delchevo, Ohrid, Krushevo, and the reconstruction of the transit through Tetovo will soon start,” Bochavrski said, adding that we are fully committed to achieving our goal, which is safe and modern road infrastructure throughout the country. Director Acevski said that the Public Enterprise for Maintenance of Regional and Main Roads is actively working on removing all problems on the roads, reconstruction and rehabilitation where necessary, in order for citizens to travel safely and on modern routes.
