Skopje, 8 March 2023 (MIA) - The implementation pace of infrastructure projects funded by the European Union was in the focus of Wednesday's meeting of Minister of Transport and Communications Blagoj Bochvarski with EU Ambassador David Geer and Director for the Western Balkans at the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Neighborhood and Enlargement Negotiations, Michela Matuella.

The meeting tackled projects in road and railway infrastructure as an important segment of the country's Euro-integration process, the Ministry of Transport and Communications said in a press release.

Minister Bochvarski highlighted the enormous importance of the support that the European Union is providing to North Macedonia in financing capital projects, noting that Euro-integration is the country's top priority.

North Macedonia remains committed to the realization of the National Infrastructure Strategy through large projects that improve and develop the nationwide infrastructure network, reads the press release.
