Skopje, 13 December 2023 (MIA) — Minister of Transport and Communications Blagoj Bochvarski held a bilateral meeting with Montenegro's Minister of Traffic and Maritime Affairs Filip Radulovic.

According to an official press release, the two government ministers confirmed the good cooperation between North Macedonia and Montenegro, stressing the importance of joint efforts for accelerating the region's European integration.

Held as part of a council of transport ministers taking place in Skopje, the meeting also discussed implemented European corridor infrastructure projects and the possibility of introducing a direct flight between the countries, the Ministry of Transport and Communications release says.

"We exchanged experiences on improving regional transport and on deepening mutual cooperation, specifically in tourism and passenger transport," Minister Bochvarski is quoted as saying in the release.

Bochvarski and Radulovic also discussed road infrastructure improvements given that "North Macedonia and Montenegro are extremely dedicated to road infrastructure modernization and improving travel conditions for both countries' citizens," the release adds. mr/
