Bitola, 4 October 2022 (MIA) – The National Opera and Ballet performances of “Walpurgis Night” and "Carmen" opened the 31st Interfest International Festival of Classical Music in Bitola on Monday night. Speaking at the opening ceremony, Bitola Mayor Toni Konjanovski pledged continuous support to the event. “The Municipality of Bitola will continue to support this international festival, which attracts numerous classical music lovers. This festival unites several arts: ballet, theater performances and of course serious music concerts by domestic and international artists,” Konjanovski said. According to Interfest’s programming director Milica Shperovikj Ribarski, this year’s Interfest performers include artists from Italy, Germany, Serbia and other European countries. The concerts will take place at Bitola's Officers’ House. On Tuesday evening, the Officers’ House will host the opening of Serbian painter Milivoje Novaković – Kanjoš’s “Road to Dihovo” exhibition, followed by a recital of harpist Mersiha Shukri at 8:30 pm. mr/
