Bislimoski: N. Macedonia implemented required energy reforms, EU to provide greater financial stimulation
- The European Union should have a motivational approach to the countries who have accomplished their tasks. North Macedonia has implemented the required energy reform and the package of directives and regulations from the Third Energy Package, and as a result of this the country should receive greater financial stimulation aimed at investments, which will in turn lead to a stable electricity price, said the President of the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) and the Energy Community Regulatory Board, Marko Bislimoski, at the 28th Athens Electricity Forum on Wednesday.

Skopje, 7 June 2023 (MIA) – The European Union should have a motivational approach to the countries who have accomplished their tasks.
At the panel dedicated to measures that should follow after the energy crisis and ways to reduce electricity consumption, Bislimoski said the EU should allocate a more significant sum for the country, because all targets of the Third Energy Package have been implemented.
Bislimoski also presented the benefits of the introduction of blocks in the electricity tariff system, which, he said, lead to rational use of electricity and 16 percent electricity saved by households. He noted that the citizens were partners in the fight with the energy crisis, as a result of which the prices of electricity and heating remained stable.
