They will include government officials, civil society representatives, digital rights activists, academics, journalists and technology and internet policy enthusiasts from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia and Serbia.
“During the three-day internet freedom meet, speakers and participants will discuss digital management, privacy and data protection, online disinformation and violent extremism, responsible use of artificial intelligence, gender-based violence through ICT, as well as regional initiatives for internet management, which will include several interested parties,” BIRN says.
BIRN Macedonia Director Ana Petrusheva and EU Ambassador David Geer will open the conference.
According to BIRN, the event will produce key messages that will be included in the creation of recommendations and will improve reporting and raising of awareness for the media and policy forums at national, regional and international level from the Western Balkans point of view.
