Berovo, 6 December 2024 (MIA) — As part of Berovo's 2024 Street Lighting Program, the municipality has installed new public roadway street lights on Marshal Tito Street at the entrance to Berovo, between National Forests to the Makpetrol filling station, MIA's Berovo correspondent reports.

According to Berovo Mayor Zvonko Pekevski, six new energy-efficient LED street light poles have been installed over a distance of 200 meters.

The 8-meter tall LED street lights provide much more light than traditional lighting, "which improves traffic safety, especially at night," Pekevski highlighted.

According to him, installing new lights on Marshal Tito Street was a priority, given that the street is an important traffic artery for all Berovo residents and visitors. 

The Mden 930,906 to cover the cost of the new street lights was provided from the Berovo Municipality 2024 budget. mr/
