Skopje, 28 February 2023 (MIA) – Commenting on the announced measure of freezing the price of bread, which should be adopted on Tuesday, Minister of Economy Kreshnik Bekteshi said “decisions will most likely be aimed at protecting the citizens”.

Bekteshi, who participated in the presentation of the study “The Effects of the Food and Energy Crisis on the Children and Families in North Macedonia”, announced a joint press conference with Prime Minister Dimitar Kovachevski.

“Prime Minister Kovachevski and I will hold a joint press conference. Any decisions made will most likely be aimed at protecting the citizens,” said Bekteshi.

On Monday the members of the baking and mill industry threatened to halt production if the Government adopts a decision freezing the price of bread. ad/nn/
