Skopje, 19 May 2023 (MIA) - The bills related to the construction of Corridors 8 and 10 d will be adopted, and the project will be implemented, Economy Minister Kreshnik Bekteshi said on Friday.

Responding to journalist's questions regarding the expectations from the State Commission for the Prevention of Corruption to act in efficient way to the proposed legal amendments, Bekteshi said that there is no turning back and that it is a done deal.

“One of the largest renowned companies will be the contractor of the project and that is the US-Turkish Consortium Bechtel-Enka. On the part of the State Commission for the Prevention of Corruption, I would certainly like to call them to act in quick and efficient way, considering that they already have the contract, and to come out with their findings. So, there are institutions as the State Commission for the Prevention of Corruption, prosecutor's office, and other institutions should do their work,” said Bekteshi, after attending the event marking the World Metrology Day, May 20.

The government proposed bills were sent to the Parliament and MPs are expected to adopt them, he added.
