Skopje, 21 December 2023 (MIA) - The average monthly net wage paid per employee in October was Mden 38,843 (EUR 630), up by 17.3 percent compared to the same month in 2022, the State Statistical Office said on Thursday.

This increase is caused by the increase of the average monthly net wage paid per employee in the sectors: Public administration and defence; compulsory social security (26.2%), Water supply; sewerage, waste management and remediation activities (20.2%), Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply (20.0%).

An increase in the average monthly net wage paid per employee compared to the previous month was recorded in the sectors: Real estate activities (8.2%), Financial and insurance activities (6.5%), Human health and social work activities (4.6%).

The average monthly gross wage paid per employee in October amounted to Mden 58,349 (EUR 947).
