Atlanta to host Super Bowl LXII in 2028

Washington, 17 October 2024 (dpa/MIA) - Atlanta has secured the rights to host Super Bowl LXII in 2028, the NFL announced on Tuesday.

Home to the Atlanta Falcons, Atlanta will welcome the championship game back to the Mercedes-Benz Stadium, which last hosted the event in 2019, when the New England Patriots claimed victory over the Los Angeles Rams.

The 2028 championship game will mark the fourth Super Bowl in Atlanta. The first two games were held at the now-demolished Georgia Dome.

Before Atlanta takes its turn in 2028, New Orleans will host the Super Bowl at the end of the current season. The championship game will then move to Santa Clara, just outside San Francisco, in 2026, followed by the SoFi Stadium in the Los Angeles metropolitan area in 2027.
