Skopje, 14 September 2022 (MIA) - The Regional Openness Index, which assesses the Government of North Macedonia as most open in the region, with over 82% fulfillment of openness criteria, is added motivation and obligation to continue down this road, Spokesman Dushko Arsovski said on Wednesday. Arsovski told a press conference this grade is a recognition of the Government's policy for maximum transparency and accountability. "This is the second confirmation in under a month, after this year's institutional ranking according to the active transparency index by the Center for Civil Communications, which gave the Government the max grade of 100% for transparency, meaning that it publishes all information related to active transparency," Arsovski said. As he said, North Macedonia is the first country in the region that decided to make its openness policy into a separate strategy. The Government's transparency strategy aims to improve transparency and trust in the work of the institutions. dk/ik/
