Istanbul, 8 October 2023 (MIA) - Skopje Mayor Danela Arsovska attended the 52nd European Olympic Committees (EOC) General Assembly in Istanbul and officvially signed the ratification on holding the 2025 Summer European Youth Olympic Festival (EYOF) in Skopje.   

More than 4,000 young athletes from 50 European countries are expected to participate in the European Youth Olympic Games in Skopje, competing in 14 Olympic sports.

"It is a special honor for us to host such a renowned international sports event. We are working hard to show that Skopje is always a good host and an excellent organizer, and this renowned sports international event is another great opportunity to affirm and promote our city as a sports and cultural destination," said Arsovska.

According to the Mayor, the organization of the event is an excellent opportunity to invest with the support of the EU in improving facilities and infrastructure, thus improve the conditions for playing sports for the young generations of successful athletes.
