Tetovo, 17 March 2024 (MIA) — An Open Day of the Army was held at the Tetovo town square to mark the country's fourth anniversary of joining NATO and the 75th anniversary of the Alliance. The event featured a display of the skills and military equipment of the special forces as well as a military band performance, MIA's Tetovo correspondent reports.
Defense Minister Slavjanka Petrovska attended the event together with the Chief of the General Staff of the Army, Lieutenant General Vasko Gjurchinovski.
The event, according to Petrovska, was organized to bring the Army closer to the public.
"Citizens enjoy a lot of trust in the Army and that makes me happy. We wanted to show the citizens what we are investing in and how we guarantee their safety and stability," she said, adding that the event attracted many locals. mr/
