Archbishop Stefan hosts traditional Christmas reception for country’s leadership

Skopje, 9 January 2026 (MIA) - On the third day of Christmas, Archbishop Stefan of the Macedonian Orthodox Church – Ohrid Archbishopric (MOC-OA) hosted a traditional Christmas lunch for the country’s leadership, marking both the Christmas festivities and his name day – Friday's commemoration of Saint Stephen the Archdeacon and Protomartyr.

According to the MOC-OA, the reception was attended by President Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova, Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski, Parliament Speaker Afrim Gashi, and the Metropolitan of Bregalnica, Ilarion, and Metropolitan of Tetovo and Gostivar, Josif.

In a social media post, President Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova said she wished the Archbishop good health, spiritual strength, and longevity in his service; guiding the Church in peace, wisdom, and compassion, along the path of unity, dialogue, and the spiritual elevation of the people.
