"Amphenol Technology Macedonia" opens new facility in Kochani

Kochani, 15 September 2023 (MIA) - Company "Amphenol Technology Macedonia" opened a new facility within the FTG plant for manufacturing of elements used in power transmission, including 100 new jobs.

The facility is a brownfield investment realized through technical support from German company FTG.

"This is part of the non-automotive sector of our company, namely bus bar terminals used in power distribution, as well as clamping connections. We expect the number of employees to double in the next 2-3 years," said Amphenol Technology Macedonia director Sashko Nakov.

German company FTG said the new facility fully meets high standards for quality manufacturing.

"We started our cooperation in 2019 with a small team and several machines, and then we decided to buy another company and bring it here. The equipment arrived but we were paralyzed because of the pandemic. Nevertheless, the equipment has been mounted and put into operation, thus becoming a significant part of Amphenol Technology Macedonia," said FTG's Steffen Wisser.

Amphenol Technology Macedonia is part of U.S. concern Amphenol, operating in Kochani for more than a decade in the manufacturing of cables and equipment for the automotive industry, as well as telecommunication equipment antennas, with close to 3,000 employees.
