Apasiev: Macedonian platform to end blackmail from Albanian minority in formation of gov't

Ohrid, 30 April 2024 (MIA) – Levica offers a Macedonian platform, which will finally end the blackmail from the Albanian minority in the formation of the next government, the party leader Dimitar Apasiev told a rally in Ohrid held as part of the campaign trail.

"There are three platforms before the citizens, and it is up to them which one they will choose in the upcoming parliamentary elections on May 8. The first is the 'Tirana' platform. Regardless of whether they call themselves the "European Front" or "Worth It", it is the same neo-ballistic matrix that tends to disintegrate the country. The second is the 'Sofia' platform backed by the Macedonian bourgeois parties, the alienated Macedonian elite - SDS and DPMNE, of which one is supporting it openly, while the other latently. Our information says that in the first 100 to 200 days it has been agreed to include the Bulgarians in the Constitution. And the third platform is the platform represented by Levica, which is a five-point Macedonian platform, aimed at finally ending the blackmail from the Albanian minority in the formation of a government," said Apasiev.

According to him, those are the three platforms over which lances will break on May 8.

"We are entering the 'photo-finish' of the campaign, we expect to at least double the result achieved in the first round of the presidential elections. We backed an independent candidate, it was more or less an expected result. But now, our main elections are coming. On May 9 we will celebrate with 8 to 12 MP seats, these are our realistic expectations," Apasiev said.

Jovana Mojsoska, list principal in the fifth election district, said that in these elections the party is witnessing the announced pasokification of the Social Democrats. According to her, the party's two MPs in the Parliament have shown how a real left-wing option should be run, "unlike the so-called social democrats who sold out all ASNOM ideals".
