Skopje, 8 May 2024 (MIA) - Levica leader Dimitar Apasiev said late Wednesday the party has won six MP seats at the parliamentary elections, while expecting one more.

Apasiev told a press conference the party won two seats in the first election district and one each in second, third, fourth and fifth districts, while hoping for one more in the third district.

"We managed to topple the red bourgeoisie, our dream since the period of transition, to under 20 MP seats. Another win is that we halved ZNAM's votes, and although we lead by 4,000 votes at places, both parties have the same number of MPs. This is why Levica's first request will be for the country to be a single election district," said Apasiev.

He added that Levica will be stronger in Parliament and "we will give them hell".
