Prilep, 27 April 2024 (MIA) - The result of the first round was realistically expected, and now we expect over 80,000 votes and a two-digit number of MPs in order to prevent many harmful policies in the future parliament, Levica leader Dimitar Apasiev said Saturday evening addressing Prilep citizens.

"We expect at least two, possibly three, MPs to enter from electoral unit 4. The outcome of the first round was realistically anticipated, compared to previous parliamentary elections when we had 37,000 votes, whereas now we have 42,000 votes. We anticipate over 80,000 votes in the parliamentary elections, which would bring in 8 to 10 MPs. In our agenda, we encompass 13 chapters addressing every aspect of societal life. The primary message to citizens is to mark number 5 on the ballot and allow young, incorruptible individuals to represent them, as we've had enough of the same old MPs and voting for the lesser evil. This way, we'll prevent many harmful policies,” Apasiev said.

Sashko Janshev, list principal in the fourth election district, stated that his main commitments are focused on agriculture and economy, advocating for contractual, secure agricultural production, and the establishment of profitable state-owned enterprises. Realistic but radical measures are offered because without them, there will be no changes.

"Agriculture must be planned. We plan to replenish the state livestock reserves strictly with domestic production, with pre-contracted agreements for farmers to have some security in production. We plan fixed purchase prices, state purchase centers to prevent middlemen from manipulating prices as they please, refrigerators for storing the produced food, which will supply the Army, kindergartens, schools, and hospitals. In the economy, we plan to restart or open state profitable companies in every strategic economic sector," Janchev during the presentation in Prilep.
