Another group of Afghan nationals leaves North Macedonia
Skopje, 30 November 2021 (MIA) – Another group of 43 Afghan citizens has left North Macedonia after getting permanent residencies in third countries. “Our institutions offered Afghan nationals with all the necessary support during their temporary stay in North Macedonia, while their expenses were covered by international organizations. These civilians were rescued via the large international operation aiming to assist international missions workers, human rights activists, translators, students and scholarship holders, as well as their families, who are threatened by the new Taliban regime in Afghanistan,” the government said in a press release. There are currently 505 citizens of Afghanistan sheltered in the country. So far, 128 Afghan nationals have left North Macedonia after being given permanent residence permits by France, Greece, Ireland, Portugal, Brazil and the United States.
