Annex to make Corridor VIII part of regional and continental network of corridors to be signed in Montenegro on Tuesday
Skopje, 15 May 2023 (MIA) - A state without corridors and energy cannot develop, said the Government on Monday.
Minister of Transport and Communications Blagoj Bochvarski will sign the annex to the EU agreement that will make Corridor VIII part of the network of main corridors in the region and EU in Montenegro on Tuesday, heard a press briefing in the Government.
This is one of the Government's arguments over the use of the EU flag (fast-track procedure) for the legislative amendments related to the construction of four motorway sections within Corridors VIII and Xd by the Bechtel-Enka consortium.
"These amendments will speed up the construction of not only these but also other projects of national interest," says the Government and adds that the project financing would be supplemented with European funds at some point, resulting in the involvement of European companies.
