Angelov: Firefighting aircraft and teams from several countries expected to arrive by day’s end

Skopje, 1 August 2024 (MIA) - The head of the Crisis Management Center (CMC), Stojanche Angelov said Thursday that international assistance has been deployed through the EU Civil Protection Mechanism.
“One helicopter from Serbia and one from Czechia have arrived already,” Angelov said.
He added that assistance from several other countries is expected to arrive on Thursday – a helicopter from Slovenia, two “Air Tractor” firefighting planes from Sweden, two “Air Tractor” firefighting planes from Germany, as well as a team from Hungary composed of 46 people with 13 vehicles including special firefighting vehicles.
