American professor Serwer recognized for his contribution to North Macedonia's international affirmation
Skopje, 3 June 2022 (MIA) – Foreign Minister Bujar Osmani handed a letter of recognition to Daniel Serwer, professor at the Johns Hopkins University in the United States, on the sidelines of the Strategic Dialogue with the US in honor of the 30th anniversary of North Macedonia’s independence. Serwer’s public appearances and thorough knowledge of the region and our country contributed to the process of international affirmation of North Macedonia through the clear and firm support of our country’s integration in the European-Atlantic mechanisms, including the continuous appeals for years to solve the open issues that hold this process back, the Foreign Ministry said. Last June, Minister Osmani made a decision to award letters of recognition to 30 foreign citizens, EU and NATO officials, statesmen, diplomats and connoisseurs of our countries and the region, including Serwer, as a symbolic gesture of gratitude for their support to our independence, our strategic goals, the strengthening of Euro-Atlantic perspectives and the multi-ethnic, multicultural and multi-confessional cohesion of our country and society, the press release said. dk/ba/
