Skopje, 15 June 2024 (MIA) - The Alternativa central presidency nominated late Saturday Orhan Murtezani for Minister of European Affairs.

Murtezani, who is Alternativa's secretary for public relations and the party spokesperson, is a former director of the Macedonian Electricity Transmission System Operator (MEPSO) and Macedonian Railways-Transport.

In addition, professor Lulzim Aliu has been nominated for Deputy Minister of Education, while professor Safije Sadiki Shaini for Deputy Minister of Community Relations.

The party presidency also discussed the resignation of leader Afrim Gashi, who has been elected Parliament Speaker, and decided that a congress is to take place on election of a new leader.
