Washington, 22 July 2024 (MIA) - Alexander Kasanof is the new United States Deputy Assistant Secretary for the Western Balkans as well as Press and Public Diplomacy in the Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs, said the Department of State.

Alexander Kasanof replaces Gabriel Escobar, whose term expired in May.

Kasanof served previously as Executive Assistant to former Under Secretary for Political Affairs Victoria Nuland and Acting Under Secretary for Political Affairs John Bass.
