Air pollution in Skopje, Strumica alarming in past two days
Skopje, 27 December 2021 (MIA) – The amount of PM10 particles in the air has been at an alarming level in Skopje and Strumica for the past two days, the Ministry of Environment said in a press release on Monday. According to air quality monitoring stations in Skopje, located in Centar, Gazi Baba, Lisiche and the Rectorate, as well as in Strumica, the amount of PM10 particles surpassed 150 μg/m3. On December 25, the concentration of PM10 registered in Centar was 181.48 μg/m3, in Gazi Baba-167.48 μg/m3, Lisiche-221.27 μg/m3, in the Rectorate-186.38 μg/m3 and in Strumica-261.81 μg/m3. Moreover, on December 26, it stood at: Centar-187.25 μg/m3, Gazi Baba-210.89 μg/m3, Lisiche-267.66 μg/m3, the Rectorate-204.04 μg/m3 and Strumica-305.11 μg/m3.
