Ohrid, 18 March 2023 (MIA) — I stand for progress and hope it is made today, DUI leader Ali Ahmeti said after meeting with Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti, who is negotiating with Serbia's President Aleksandar Vucic in Ohrid the implementation rules for a planned agreement to normalize Serbia – Kosovo relations at an European Union-facilitated meeting hosted by Prime Minister Dimitar Kovachevski.

Answering a reporter’s question if he thought the Belgrade–Prishtina dialogue would end with Serbia’s recognizing Kosovo, Ahmeti said it depended on the two delegations but he believed that they would reach an agreement.

“Kosovo should move forward toward its international recognition as a state and advance toward membership in all international institutions on its path to joining the European Union and NATO,” Ahmeti said. mr/
