Agreement reached on JSP wages, buses to resume normal operations
Skopje, 20 October 2022 (MIA) – An agreement has been reached concerning the wages of the Public Transport Enterprise (JSP) employees and the JSP buses will resume their regular operations, the president of the JSP Trade Union, Mikjo Stojanovski, told MIA. “The money has been transferred. The wages will be distributed tomorrow. The buses are resuming their normal operations,” Stojanovski told MIA. The trade union received the information at a meeting with the Mayor of Skopje. In a press release, the City of Skopje confirmed that a solution has been found. They called on JSP management to resign and urged the Government and the municipalities to pay off the debts they owe to the public enterprise as soon as possible. “JSP will resume with its normal operations after the City of Skopje managed to find a solution for the artificially incited crisis in the enterprise. We call on the management of the enterprise, the Managing Board, to immediately submit an irrevocable resignation from their posts due to their inadequate management of the enterprise, as well as inciting and causing chaos. The JSP wages have been secured. In the meantime, we urge the Government and the municipalities to pay off the millions they owe to the enterprise,” the City of Skopje said in the press release.ad/nn/
