Administrative Court rejects as unfounded European Front's suit over SEC decision on Zhelino revote

Skopje, 30 May 2024 (MIA) - The Administrative Court at a public hearing held late Wednesday rejected as unfounded the lawsuit filed by the European Front coalition regarding the Parliamentary Elections 2024, against the decision of the State Election Commission (SEC) over the revote in polling station 2101 in the village of Larce in the Municipality of Zhelino.

The Administrative Court's ruling upholds SEC's decision dated May 27, 2024, the Court said in a press release.

The full decision and its reasons, the press release adds, will be detailed on the Court's website, in line with the deadline specified in the Electoral Code.

The SEC at its session held on May 27 rejected the appeal from the European Front regarding the revote in polling station 2101 in the village of Larce in the Municipality of Zhelino.

After the revote at this polling station on May 22, the DUI coalition lost one parliamentary seat to the “Worth It” coalition.

According to the preliminary results following the revote in seven polling stations in the fifth and sixth election districts at the Parliamentary Elections 2024, VMRO-DPMNE's "Your Macedonia" coalition remains with 58 MP seats, DUI-led "European Front" coalition lost one MP seat and has 18 MP seats, same as SDSM’s “Coalition for European Future”. The "Worth It" coalition won one more seat and now has 14 MP seats, while ZNAM Movement and Levica remain with six MP seats each.
