Skopje, 29 December 2023 (MIA) - The Judicial Council's decision to dismiss its former president Vesna Dameva from the post has been annulled, the Administrative Court told MIA. 

Minister of Justice Krenar Lloga welcomed the decision, by which Dameva is reinstated to the post of Judicial Council President.  

"This confirms all the allegations of the Minister that he had in the past period about the work and actions of the Judicial Council, which proves that this institution needs reforms," the Ministry of Justice said in a press release. 

The Administrative Court's decision raises hope for restoring trust in the institutions and respect for the principle of the rule of law.

The Judicial Council told MIA they will wait for the verdict to arrive, because they had also learned about this from the media.
