Bitola, 23 May 2024 (MIA) - Actors from nine countries will take part in the 25th International Monodrama Festival in Bitola, 25-31 May.
The "Actors Sing" event will open the festival, and the award ceremony will take place on Sunday with a performance of the monodrama "Not Giving Up" by actress Marija Medenica from Novi Sad.
The Bitola Culture Center, who is hosting and organizing the event, said in a press release that Sevar Ivanov from Bulgaria, Zdravko Stojmirov and Ivan Angelov from North Macedonia, Seda Elhan from Turkey, Despoina Sarafeidou from Greece, Aram Hovhannisyan from Armenia, Julia Kudrajshova from Kazakhstan, Tea Shimikj from Croatia, and Abdullah Masoud from the United Arab Emirates will also give performances.
Simon Stephens's play "The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time" directed by Zoja Buzalkova and performed by the Skopje Drama Theater, will be staged at the closing ceremony on May 31 in honor of the awardees. ssh/sk/
