Skopje, 19 October 2023 (MIA) - Eight hundred Covid-19 cases are registered in the country on a monthly basis, the number of people being tested is also increasing, said Commission for Infectious Diseases spokesperson Zlate Mehmedovikj on Thursday.

According to him, this is not a serious number that could pose danger for the healthcare capacities.

"For now, it is enough for people to wear protective masks in healthcare facilities," Mehmedovikj told a media briefing by the Ministry of Health.

The Commission for Infectious Diseases recommends mandatory use of masks only in healthcare facilities in order to prevent the spread of Covid-19, not applicable to pharmacies or nursing homes. ssh/ik/
