7th Regional E-Commerce Conference kicks off

Skopje, 12 November 2024 (MIA) - The 7th Annual Regional E-Commerce Conference, organized by the E-Commerce Association of North Macedonia (AETM) is taking place Tuesday at the National Opera and Ballet in Skopje, under the theme “E-Commerce: Untangling Potential.”

This event offers an exceptional opportunity to discover the latest trends and innovations in e-commerce and to share insights with leading experts from the region and beyond.

Experts from major global brands like TikTok, OpenAI (creator of ChatGPT), Klarna, Zalando, Visa, as well as representatives from some of the most successful regional businesses, will be part of the upcoming program. Through lectures, panel discussions, and talks, they will share their expertise and experiences in e-commerce, artificial intelligence, digitalization, and digital marketing.

For the third consecutive year, the conference will open its doors to a regional audience, with over 700 attendees expected—including successful entrepreneurs, e-commerce merchants, company directors, managers, and representatives from government and non-governmental institutions from North Macedonia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Albania, Kosovo, Montenegro, Romania, Bulgaria, and Croatia. This conference is unique in the region and now in its seventh edition, providing outstanding networking and partnership opportunities.

Key findings from the 2024 Western Balkans E-Commerce Report will also be presented. This report will highlight the region’s achievements, focusing on successes and areas for improvement, especially in cross-border trade.

The focus will be on critical topics such as innovations in delivery and logistics, new trends in e-payment solutions, strategies for effective e-commerce marketing, and approaches to cross-border expansion and international growth.

The event will feature addresses by key officials, including Stefan Andonovski, the Minister of Digital Transformation, Petra Drexler, the German Ambassador, EU Delegation representative, Maria Kanellopoulou, and Nina Angelovska Stankov, President of the E-Commerce Association.
