Strumica, 31 October 2022 (MIA) — Some 1,000 Strumica and Valandovo residents have gotten their seasonal flu shots at the three municipal vaccination sites run by the Center for Public Health over the past week, MIA’s Strumica correspondent reports. According to the health authorities, the locals' interest in vaccination is the same as last year. The greatest interest is among seniors over 65. "Also eligible for the free flu shots are people with chronic illnesses, pregnant women, medical workers, and children aged 6 months to 5 years,” the Center for Public Health director Petre Vitanov said. In addition to the locals' considerable interest in free vaccination, there is also great interest in the commercial flu shots, which cost Mden 800 per vaccination. mr/
