Belgrade, 26 July 2022 (MIA) – Ohrid has great potential for tourism development and offers opportunities for new joint investments in the region, Marko Čadež, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia said, MIA’s Belgrade correspondent reported on Tuesday. While his visit to Ohrid, he told the Serbian media that there is a lot of room for upgrade and expansion of the tourist accommodation facilities in the territory around Lake Ohrid, but also enhancing tourism offer with new facilities that would attract tourists from all over the world. Later last week, Chadež met with representatives of the economic chambers of North Macedonia, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro on the occasion of cooperation within the Chamber Investment Forum. “We agreed that it would be good to have even better and more enhanced tourist accommodation facilities and other contents, and we can always work on that, and that's exactly what our businessmen want and see potential in it,” Chadež said, adding that despite of the global crisis, the tourist season in Ohrid is good this year.
